New email address?
I am looking for an up-to-date email address for Colleen Parish, Japan for the Clan Association records as the one you gave me, and that is listed in the directory doesn't seem to work. If you read this, you might email me with an up-date. Have you moved yet?

The management cordially invites guests to submit their own McDermott family trees for inclusion in the Online genealogical archive to be found at this site under the title of "Researching MacDermots".
It is our intention that this area of the MacDermot web site will eventually develop into a comprehensive record of M(a)cDermot(t) history, but in order for this to happen we need YOUR HELP.Please let us know how you think this site can best serve you,
we would like to know your suggestions!

Eureka !
Information comes from various and unexpected places. My eastern cousins who are McDermotts just got connected to the Web, and I received some new information on my ancestor Andrew McDermott. It seems he was born in Lewiston New York, and his parents emigrated in the early 1800s to the USA. Does anyone reading this have roots in the Lewiston area ? He would have been born in the 1840s/1850s and died young in Canada in the late 1870s or early 1880s. Any help appreciated. Am going to try to get his birth certificate by snail mail. Cheers to all.

Kentucky McDermotts
The MacDermot Clan does not yet have any delinite leads into McDermotts who settled in Kentucky. However we have received a message to the Notice Board in February of this year from Patrick McDermott III of Lousiville, Kentucky who is also looking for help. Maybe the two of you can help each other out (and then let us know what you find).
In order to find Patrick's message please call up February (Ref: 1997-Feb-#047) .
Regards
Rory MacDermot

McDermotts In Kentucky
I am searching for information on McDermotts who settled in western Kentucky (Calloway Co.)in the early 1800's. First names may have been James or William (Bill) and could have come from New York by way of Virginia. Any information will be appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------
